We create opportunities for exceptional writing to shine by providing the accessible platform women writers deserve. By making a donation of £1,000 and over, you will help us to encourage and nurture the next generation of women to share their stories and experiences.

We have supported thousands of writers, and we want to empower more women at the start of their writing journey through workshops and mentoring. For a donation of £1,000 or more a year, we would be delighted to acknowledge you as a Patron supporter and extend the following benefits in recognition of your support:

  • Invitations to Patron events, including the sell-out shortlist readings for the Women’s Prize for Fiction and Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction
  • A complimentary set of shortlisted books (either Fiction or Non-Fiction)
  • A regular Patron newsletter with ‘first-to-know’ news and insights
  • A thank you for your generous support on our website

If you have any questions or would like to find out more please contact Development Director Sophie Hussey for a chat and a joining form, including a Gift Aid Declaration, at sophie@womensprize.com

* Each level of support in the Patrons’ programme include a benefits portion which represents the cost of the scheme to the Trust and a suggested donation. The benefits we may offer Patrons have a value of £150, the voluntary donation of £850 is eligible for Gift Aid, and it is possible to purchase Patron level membership without making a donation.

I have found the whole experience of being shortlisted a hugely positive one – and it has quite simply been life-changing. I have felt supported, encouraged and affirmed as a writer.
